In this activity you process tool for logical services. You can create or change the tools.

A tool refers to a function module that calls a logical service. You can assign views to the function module that contain specific parameters dependent on the application, object and object category for this function module (calculation schedule, for example).

Requirements

The function module to be defined already exists. You must be familiar with the key for the function module (no F4 search help is defined).

If you want to issue views, you must also be familiar with these.

Activities

  1. When creating: First, name the tool (tool field). You must abide by the naming conventions.
  2. Define an existing function module in the function module field.
  3. Define views with function module-specific parameters in the ObjView and ObjCatView fields, where appropriate.

Further notes

You can process the function module as well as the views directly from the maintenance view by clicking on the execute button (on the left next to the appropriate field). This takes you directly to the function module or view maintenance.
