Activities

  1. Enter the name of the application to be generated.
  2. Indicate the object types that you want to generate.
    3. You must set at least one indicator. If you generate a type, you have to generate all the types that are listed above it, or have already generated them in a previous run.

Programs and function groups are not overwritten. You can choose whether the existing programs and function groups are to be deleted before generation, or whether only the missing ones are to be generated.

  1. Choose Execute (F8).
    2. Once generation is finished, the system displays a message in the status bar: Generation completed; see log - important.
  2. Now choose Display Generation Log (F6).
    3. The default values in the selection screen lead to the log for the last generation. If you choose other data, you can display older logs.

Further notes

The duration of generation depends largely on the size of your application. A complete generation including the deletion of all programs and function groups can last up to an hour depending on the performance capability of the system.

You can also run generation in the background.
