Use
In this IMG activity you define the number ranges that uniquely identify distribution ratios for partnerships. It is extremely important that the numbers defined here are unique throughout the whole system landscape. Therefore we recommend determining intervals for the number range in one system only, namely that system where the Customizing of distribution ratios for partnerships is handled.
If you are not able to observe this recommendation if, say, you process distribution ratios in several development systems, you must make sure that there are no overlapping intervals in other systems. Failure to observe this restriction may result in inconsistent calculations of commission cases in which partnerships participate.
The numbers of the number range are transferred to the settings of versioned tables in Customizing from where they are transported to the productive system (through the transport of versioned Customizing), and here they must be unique.
The number range is used simultaneously for all partnership types . Consequently it will generally be the case that the numbers assigned for each partnership do not form a consecutive, uninterrupted sequence.
Requirements
You have installed the Partnerships package.
Standard settings
Activities
- In the development system or the system where the selection criteria for distribution ratios for partnerships are defined, create exactly one numeric interval that is large enough for your requirements.
- Create an internal number range and choose number range number 01 .
The size of the interval you create depends on the number of partnership types and the characteristics combinations defined for each partnership. A number is required for each characteristics combination and for each partnership type.
An interval size of 10,000,000 will be large enough to fulfill most requirements. The data element that accepts the number is an alphanumeric field with twelve places.
