In this activity you edit period rules. You determine the periodicity of the processes on the basis of the period rule.

Period rules are subject to period and version management.

Determine the periodicity on the basis of the period rule.

Enter a name for the period rule. The name must not have more than seven characters and is not subject to any naming conventions.
Enter the relevant data in the Time Unit and No. of Time Units fields, and the start and end of the effective validity to define the period rule. The effective validity restricts the periodicity over a certain period of time.
You can enter a name for the period rule if required. This is useful if, say, you shift a period manually and you can use this name to document the period in question.
