Define Rulesets for Follow-on Object Type Determination

Use
You use this Customizing activity to determine the type of follow-on document created by the system after the approval process. For the item requested, the rule checks for stock availability (MMBE) and derives the follow-on document type. This rule is executed after the shopping cart has been approved by the approver.
Requirements
Standard settings
In the standard system, the default behaviour is as follows:
If the item requested is in stock, the system will create a reservation.
If the item is not in stock, the system will create a purchase requisition.
Activities
To change the type of follow-on document created by the system, you add your own ruleset to the BRFplus function Determine Follow-on Object Type for SC Items (/SRMERP/F_DET/FOO/TYPE). The rulset should check the availability of the material request in stock and determine the follow-on document type. The document created by this rule can be one of the following:
Purchase requisition (PR)
Purchase requisition and purchase order (PRPO)
Reservation (RES)
