Quantity cut off when unit &1 converted to &2 (issue document &3, &4)
Help Document
Diagnosis
Unit conversion from to led to more decimal places for the resulting quantity than are defined for the unit in Customizing. Consequently, the system cut off the resulting quantity after the defined number of decimal places.
If you convert back to , the quantity determined would not be the same as the original quantity.
Example
A material has the two units of measure 'piece' and 'box', with a conversion factor of 1 box to 10 pieces.
No decimal places are allowed for the unit of measure 'box', so converting 15 pieces to boxes would result in exactly one box.
System Response
Depending on the situation, the following responses are possible:
- The system continues processing at the level of the base unit of measure.
- The system continues processing using the resulting quantity determined.
- If neither of these are possible, the system carries out the conversion again, this time ignoring the defined number of decimal places in Customizing. The degree of accuracy of the resulting quantity depends on the degree of accuracy of the internal data type used.
