Correction Instructions Queue
Use
If an SAP Note has other SAP Notes as prerequisites, the Note Assistant determines these when you implement the note, and asks you to load them into your system. As soon as these prerequisite SAP Notes are available, Note Assistant displays all correction instructions belonging to the SAP Note that you selected, together with correction instructions for all prerequisite SAP Notes in a dialog box: the correction instructions queue. The correction instructions queue can contain both automatically implementable correction instructions and manual activities.
For each manual activity, the dialog field indicates whether or not its results are transportable, that is, whether performance of the activity can be recorded in a change request. If a manual activity is not transportable, you need to perform it individually in every system in your system landscape where you import the SAP Note to. If you do not do this, the Note will not be completely implemented in the follow-on systems.
Note: Automatic correction instructions are always listed in a change request and are therefore always transportable.
Caution: Read the prerequisite SAP Notes carefully.
Activities
Process the correction instructions queue in the specified order. The correction instructions that you need to process first are colored and have the status To Be Implemented Next. If you select a manual activity from the list, the system displays the long text for this activity in the lower part of the dialog field.
- Perform Manual Activity
If the correction instructions queue contains manual activities with status To Be Implemented Next perform these activities. Confirm that they have been performed by setting the Confirmed flag. To continue implementing the note, choose Continue. The manual activities are thus confirmed.
If you choose Cancel, the system stops implementing the correction instructions. Manual activities that you have already confirmed (by setting the Confirmed flag and choosing Continue), are no longer displayed in the correction instructions queue when you restart the Note implementation process. The Note now has the status Incompletely Implemented.
- Implementing Automatic Correction Instructions
If automatic correction instructions have the status To Be Implemented Next implement these by choosing one of the following options:
- Implement a number of correction instructions simultaneously
- If you choose this option, the system implements as many of the specified correction instructions as possible one after the other. The correction instructions that can be implemented together are highlighted in color.
- The system can only implement a number of correction instructions simultaneously if they can be included without having to be changed. If the relevant includes contain your own modifications, the system may not be able to insert some of the changes. The system always implements these correction instructions individually so that you can adjust your modifications.
- Note: You can only adjust corrections to ABAP source text to your modifications. This type of adjustment is not possible for repository objects that are not of source text type, or subobjects (see also: Implementing Correction Instructions.
- Implement individual correction instructions
- The system implements the specified correction instructions individually. With this option, you can see in detail which objects can be changed with which correction instructions, and then modify the ABAP source code change if possible.
- Cancel
- The system stops implementing the correction instructions. Correction instructions that have already been implemented remain implemented. The Note now has the status Incompletely Implemented. You can restart the implementation process later.
