Help Document
Diagnosis
You tried to assign an input batch as a preceding batch to a process batch that is not at the lowest process batch level. This is not possible.
You can only assign an input batch as a preceding batch to a process batch at the lowest process batch level.
For process batches that are to be generated from existing process batches (for example by splitting or copying), the system automatically generates a preceding batch references for the preceding process batch.
Background
With the function @I3@ PB Ref., you can
- initialize the assignment of a preceding batch
If you want to initialize assignment, you must remove the batch number from the Batch field in the relevant goods issue line before you perform the function @I3@ PB Ref.. - assign a new preceding batch
If you want to assign another input batch as the preceding batch, enter enter the number of an existing input batch in the Batch field of the relevant goods issue line before you perform function @I3@ PB Ref.
System Response
The system cancels the function.
Procedure
Select a process batch at the lowest process batch level and a goods issue line and choose @I3@ PB Ref..
