Diagnosis

Although the variance key you entered exists in the system, it is intended for other object types (such as orders).

System Response

Variances on cost objects cannot be determined with this variance key.

Procedure

  • Go into Customizing and check the variance key for variance calculation on cost object hierarchies.
  • Enter a variance key in the highest node of the cost object hierarchy, being sure to use a variance key that is intended for a cost object hierarchy.
