Diagnosis

A cost object ID has to be assigned to both a company code and a controlling area. If you enter a plant, the system attempts to determine the company code and then the controlling area. In your case, you entered a plant that is not assigned to a controlling area.

Procedure

Assign plant to a company code. Then assign this company code to a controlling area.
