Report "" that is maintained in Customizing must have the field contract number as a ready for input field and as a selection option (complex selection).

You can either adapt report with report type , or maintain another report in Customizing.
Notes
Selection options can be generated with global variables. SAP supplies the global variable &CTRTBUID for the contract number field.
