Diagnosis

Problems have occurred while communicating with the external system. The data upload could not be started. Possible reasons for this error are that the external system is not available, the Customizing settings for data upload are incorrect or a network connection to the external system does not exist.

1.) Check if the external system that is to execute the data upload has been started and is available.

2.) Check if the target system settings are correct for the data upload in Customizing for POI. Above all, you should check that the RFC destination for the external system and the function name have been correctly defined. This information is governed by the external system and must be specially entered for this system.

3.) Check if a network connection exists between the SAP system and the computer on which the external system was started. If you cannot check the above points yourself, contact your system administrator or the person responsible for POI installation.
