Diagnosis

You want to edit BOM group for functional location in plant . You entered the valid-from date .
You cannot edit the BOM group on this date, as the BOM group is not valid on .

System Response

The system checks the valid-from date of the BOM header.

Procedure

Please find out the validity period of the BOM group.
To display the entire validity period, proceed as follows:

• Choose Functional loc. BOM -> BOM group -> Display.
  Delete all entries in the validity section of the screen by entering the special character "!" at the beginning of each field.
• Choose menu option Goto, function More -> Variant overview.
  You see a list of all existing variant BOMs of the selected BOM group with their validity periods.
