BOM status does not allow allocation to operations

Diagnosis
You want to allocate a material component to an operation in a routing. This is only possible if the BOM has a status for which the indicator Released for work scheduling is set in Customizing (BOM status).
The BOM you are editing does not have a status with this indicator.
Procedure
You cannot allocate the material component to a routing until:
- the BOM is given a status with the indicator Released for work scheduling
- the settings in Customizing (BOM status) are changed to include this indicator for the selected status
