Diagnosis

Authorization objects, authorizations and profiles are subject to naming conventions for the SAP standard and customer objects.

Authorizations and profiles:

The SAP authorization objects can begin with any letter and the second character must be an underscore.

Example: S_A.SYSTEM

Exceptions: Profiles SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW and SAP_NEW_... are exceptions to this rule.

Customer authorization objects can consist of any character strings with the exception of the norm for SAP authorizations and profiles.

Example: S:A.SYSTEM

Authorization objects:

SAP authorization objects can begin with any letter except Y and Z, and the second character must be an underscore.

Example: S_USER_AUT

Customer authorization objects must begin with Y or Z.

Example: YOBJECT
