Diagnosis
The material number exceeds the length of characters currently defined for material numbers in Customizing.
System Response
Procedure
Either enter a shorter material number or ask your system administrator to increase the length permitted for material numbers in your system.
You define the length of material numbers in the IMG activity Define Output Format of Material Numbers for the Material Master. The maximum length allowed is 18 characters.
