The import interface selected in the first step of LSMW works with logical path and file names.

Procedure
For the file containing the converted data, this means you need to specify a name for the logical path and logical file (transaction FILE), both of which point to the physical file being used. To specify a logical path in full, an assignment is also required to the physical path in transaction FILE. This assignment also needs to be made for all possible syntax groups (groups of operating systems with the same syntax for file paths). For more information, see SAP Note 753511.
