If you select this indicator, the System displays the copy numbers of the first or last copy to be delivered during the validity period in the order items for this publication. However, the System does not check the validity period for publication days. The indicator should only be used for publications (non-dailies) whose price basis in the order is a unit price, and not for daily newspapers. If you click the possible entries pushbutton on the fields for the start and end of validity, the System displays a list of the issues of the publication, from which you can make a selection. The copy number of the issue is also displayed and copied to the order item.
Requirements
If more than one edition exists for a publication, you must ensure that the accompanying issues have the same copy number on one publication date.
Note
If the publication date of an issue is postponed, this does not affect the order items. The order items that start or end with this issue can be modified for individual publishers in batch.
In subscriptions with a liability account, the validity period is checked for publication dates independently of the setting in the publication.
