Documentation
Definition
If you select this indicator, the order items for this publication are defined according to publication days. The system checks whether the start date of validity or - if the subscription is limited - the end of validity of the order item are publication dates of the publication.
If you click the possible entries pushbutton on the fields for the start and end of validity, the system displays a list of the issues of the publication, from which you can make a selection. The copy number of the issue is also displayed and copied to the order item.
The calculation period can differ from the validity period, although the beginning and end of the calculation period are not defined in publication days.
This indicator should only be used for publications (non-dailies) whose price basis in the order is a unit price, and not for daily newspapers.
Exceptions
The system does not check the validity period for publication days during data transfer from the legacy system.
Unlimited changes and those preceding them are also not included in the check, since these are usually due to a change of address of the ship-to party and do not depend on the frequency of publication.
In subscriptions with a liability account, the validity period is checked against publication dates independently of the setting in the publication.
Requirements
If more than one edition exists for a publication, you must ensure that the accompanying issues have the same copy number on a publication date.
Note
If the publication date of an issue is moved, this affects the order items in question.
