Documentation
Definition
This indicator controls the degree of detail to which the order deadline is taken into account in the shipping order.
Use
If the indicator is selected, the order deadline for each individual shipping order item is taken into account during delivery viability determination and circulation planning.
This means the system takes account of the lead date
- for each item in the shipping order during delivery viability determination
- for each delivery during circulation planning
If the indicator is not selected, the order deadline is not taken into account during delivery viability determination in the shipping order. Circulation planning is only performed for an order if the order deadline has not yet been reached for any of the items.
Example
If you define your shipping orders in such a way that all the items in an order have the same delivery viability set and the shipping order is used for one-time shipping (for example, using an address file), you do not need to select this indicator.
If different delivery types (with different lead dates) can occur within one shipping order and the items cover a long period, it is advisable to select this indicator.
