Definition
Grouping of all items that are to be processed from a specific reimburser.
The claim items are grouped according to the split criterion that has been defined in Customizing.
Use
Split groups are created during a claim split, in other words, if there is more than one reimburser for the items of a warranty claim. This is the case, for example, if for several damages, parts (materials) are requested from different mannufacturers affording warranty, or if a claim contains a damage and, at the same time, a request for warranty for an accessory (independent of damages).
During the claim split, the system creates several versions to different reimbursers from the one incoming version from the claimant. Each individual version can be accepted or rejected by the appropriate reimburser. Then the system groups the versions coming in from the different reimbursers to one outbound version to the claimant.
