Documentation

Definition

Specifies whether defective parts that have to be exchanged have to be returned to the reimburser by the person responsible for the claim and which status the return delivery has.

Use

During warranty processing with parts to be returned, payments are often not made until the claimant has returned specific defective parts for inspection. This is useful in the context of quality assurance and quality checks to discover why a certain part is always defective.

Dependencies

The parts to be returned are indicated as such in the material master (tab page Sales Organization 2, select field Product Attribute 10 to define the duty of the person responsible for the claim to return defective parts to the reimburser).

You can use BADI WTY_CREATE_COPY to define your own, more flexible programming for determining return duty. You do not have to link the indicator to the material, for example. You could link it to the claim type or the partner.
