Definition

Detailed entry for the item.

Use

The use of this field depends on the item type.

  • Item type labor value or external service: labor value code and/or external service code from the catalogs
  • Item type material: the field can be used in different ways:
    • Entry of external material number (example: material number in dealer's system)
    • Entry of the second alternative material number for the case that one and the same material has a different material number as spare part than when it is a sales material.

Dependencies

  • SAP Discrete Industries

In the standard system, a catalog is not displayed for item type Material, but rather the F4 help for the material master.

Two different CEM catalogs with the catalog codes are WTY2 and WTY3 are displayed for item types Labor value and/or External service.

  • SAP R/3 Enterprise

The F4 help for the material master is displayed in the standard system (not a catalog).

You can use BAdI WTY_F4_ITMNO to link in your own external service, labor value and spare part catalogs. These catalogs can be in the form of an external data carrier, external system or an R/3 catalog.
