Definition

Number that the reimburser or the processor of the claim, for example a sales employee of a vehicle importer, assigns to the claimant, for example a car dealer.

Use

With this number the claimant is authorized to make use of a period of grace. IN other words, the claimant can make a warranty claim on for an object for which there is officially no longer a guarantee (authorized period of grace).

If there is still a legal or contractual warranty for the object, no authorization is required.
