Definition
Setting with which the start of the buffering of POS transactions based on receipts can be controlled.
Use
Enter a number of days in this field. The system evaluates this field while the POS inbound based on receipts is being posted and only buffers POS transactions that lie in the timeframe defined in your entry before the count date and that correspond to the criteria of the selective buffering. (You can define a timeframe after the planned count date using another setting). All POS transactions whose transaction dates lie before the timeframe defined here are not buffered.
Define a timeframe for the buffering so that all the POS transactions that are relevant to calculating the book inventory before at count time are buffered. Do not choose a timeframe that is too large, as POS transactions that are not required may be buffered too.

In the store, there are active physical inventory documents with the planned count date 02.24.2003.
The timeframe defined in this example starts on 02.21.2003 (inclusive) and ends on 02.24.2003 (inclusive). All POS transactions based on receipts whose transaction dates lie in this timeframe and that correspond to the other criteria for selective buffering are buffered.
