Definition
Indicator that controls which criteria should be checked in selective buffering of POS transactions based on receipts for physical inventory support in an open store.
Use
The system evaluates this indicator when the POS inbound based on receipts is being posted out of the store to determine which POS transactions should be saved temporarily for physical inventory support in an open store.
You can choose one of the following settings:
- Active physical inventory document available
In this case, the system only checks whether there is at least one active physical inventory document for this store in the system without running a check at material level. If the check gives a positive result, all the POS transactions are temporarily saved in this store. - Material is contained in active physical inventory document
In this case, the system checks whether the material in the POS transaction is contained in an active physical inventory document in the store. The system buffers only the POS transactions for which this check gives a positive result.
Dependencies
Note that you must define a timeframe before and after the planned count date entered in the active physical inventory documents using two other Customizing settings. The system only includes POS transactions that lie in this timeframe in the check on criteria for selective buffering; any remaining POS transactions are not buffered.
