Definition
Controls the behavior of bonus buy instances attached to a promotion during promotions processing
Use
The materials that are part of a bonus buy are copied over as line items in the promotion based on the value of this indicator. This allows syncing of bonus buy materials to the promotion as line items to enable subsequent processes such as supply source determination, allocation, price activation, announcement and listing.
Depending on the value of the indicator, the promotion behaves in the following ways:
- space: No subsequent processing
- 1: Manual processing of bonus buy
When this value is set for the indicator, user intervention is required to select the bonus buy which is required to be synced. When a bonus buy is selected for syncing, then all materials belonging to the bonus buy would end up as promotion line items
- 2: Automatic Processing of bonus buy
When this value is set for the indicator, all bonus buy instances attached to the promotion would become relevant for syncing, no manual intervention would be allowed. Therefore, all materials belonging to the attached bonus buy instances would end up as promotion line items.
Dependencies
This indicator is part of the promotion type and the value is set in Customizing. The value of this indicator in promotion type is copied over to the promotion header and remains non-editable through out the lifetime of the promotion.
The value of this indicator controls the behavior of bonus buy instances. When the value is 1, a checkbox allows you to select a bonus buy for syncing. When the value is 2, the same checkbox appears on the bonus buy user interface in a checked and non-editable state. When the value is a space, this checkbox is not visible.
When promotions are created using Enterprise Services, only value space and 2 are allowed for the promotion type used. The value 1 results in an error condition.
