Definition

Reason code for a reason that can/must be entered by the user in the Internet application Cash Control if there is a difference between the counted and posted amount. The indicator "Mandatory or Optional Reason" must be set for this in Customizing for an account or total line.

Use

There is a text (reason text) for every reason code. In the dialog pages of the cash control Internet application, you enter reason texts instead of reason codes using the relevant dialog boxes that are defined using Groups for Reasons.

The system copies the reason text when a posting is made in Financial Accounting into the text field of th eposting line.
