Definition
Defines the target range of coverage in online planning.
Use
You can specify the range of coverage you want to achieve. The system then suggests an order quantity based on the following formula:
Order quantity =
(average forecast consumption x target range of coverage) -
stock on-hand - open order stock
Note that the order quantity is rounded off to the whole order units. This can result in the actual range of coverage specified differing from the target range of coverage.
