Definition

The total runtime of a navigation step in the Business Warehouse is divided as follows:

  • Initialization time: Time for the initialization of an OLAP report, during which the definition of the query is loaded.
  • OLAP runtime: Time spent in the OLAP processor
  • Front End runtime: Time spent at the front end and in the network
  • Master data runtime: Time used for reading the master data from the database
  • Database runtime: Time used for reading the transaction data from the database

A navigation step is each execution of a query or each drill down (Displaying deeper hierarchy levels of aggregated values) in the data view.
