Key for identifying a planning hierarchy version.

Use

You can use planning hierarchy versions to:

  • Save or freeze historical proportional factors
  • Use different proportional factors for different planning strategies

The planning hierarchy versions that you created can then be used for the following:

  • Information for comparisons in planning hierarchy maintenance
    Upto two comparison versions can be displayes in hierarchy maintenance so that an immediate comparison of two current and historical proportional factors is possible.
  • Different proportional factors in different plan versions

    Alternative plans are seperated using different plan versions
    A planning hierarchy version is assigned to a plan version so that 2 plan versions can also be assigned two different planning hierarchy versions.
    By doing this, you can create different plans in a top-down procedure by using different proportional factors.
