Documentation
Definition
Unit for planning key figures used to maintain quantities.
Use
The planning unit of measure is defined within planning hierarchy maintenance.
If a planning unit of measure is entered in the node of a planning
hierarchy (representing the characteristic feature for a
planning characteristic), this means:
- Quantity planning is executed for this characteristic feature at this level and for all levels and characteristic features below it.
- If the planning unit of measure matches the base unit of measure, all the planning key figures used for storing quantities are used for the whole sub-tree in this unit of measure. Furthermore, the planning key figures entered in planning units of measure are converted into base units of measure before they are stored.
If a planning unit of measure has been entered for a node of the planning hierarchy, the unit no longer needs to be maintained for the levels below this node.
