Documentation
Definition
This category of interface can be used to generate retail promotions in MAP. The sites, site groups, materials and promotion quantities you select are sent to the retail promotion.
In addition to the general settings for planning interfaces, interfaces for retail promotions have the following characteristics:
- Promotion type of the promotion you are creating.
- For the site groups you want to generate:
To administer promotions and the subsequent processing, site groups from the class system are used. MAP also enables you to create promotions on site or site group level using break-down tables. Therefore, a site group in this class system is created for all system sites in the planning session when planning on site and site group levels using break-down tables. You can make the following settings when you maintain the interface: - class type of the site group you are creating.
- Convert site into customer number:
Promotions are processed using class types that use customer number assigned to the sites (for example, standard class types 30 and 35). If planning is to be done on the site level for master data objects, you must convert your data into customer numbers. In doing so, the customer number is updated from the site master data table, where you must make the appropriate entries. If no customer number exists for a site, the site description is used to identify the customer. - Use existing site groups:
This setting indicates if a new site group must be created every time a new promotion is created in MAP. If no site needs to be created, existing site groups can be re-used. The current assignment of sites is not, however, adjusted automatically. Therefore, if you use an existing site group, the system will only use sites that are currently assigned to the group in question, regardless of the sites selected in planning. - RFC destination for the system in which the promotion is to be generated.
In addition to a quantity key figure,
planning characteristics or break-downs are assigned. They represent the material and site group dimensions that are to be used.
