Definition

The dimension category assigned to a promotions interface. To create a promotion, an article dimension and a dimension for plant groups must be assigned to the interface. These dimensions could be a direct match for plan characteristics or group break-downs. Break-downs are used if planning is not being done on article level or plant group level.

The following assignment configuratins are useful for promotion interfaces:

  1. Two characteristics that have been assigned:
    • A characteristic belongs to the material dimension category (for example, a material).
    • The second characteristic belongs to the plant dimension category (for example, a store) or the plant group dimension category (for example, region).
  2. A characteristic and a break-down that have been assigned:
    1. The characteristic belongs to the dimension category for materials and the break-down belongs to the dimension category for plants.
    2. The characteristic belongs to the dimension category for plants or the dimension category for plant groups. The break-down belongs to the dimension category for materials (this break-down could cover all areas ranging from the base material group to materials).
  3. Two break-downs are assigned:
    • A break-down belongs to the dimension category for materials.
    • The other break-down belongs to the dimension category for plants.
