Definition

Dimension category that is assigned to an allocation table interface.
To create an allocation table from the MAP, the interface must be assigned a material dimension and a plant dimension, or a plant groups dimension. Planning characteristics or grouping break-downs can correspond directly to these dimensions. Break-downs are used if planning is not carried out directly at material or plant level, or at plant group level.

The following configurations of assignments are useful for promotion interfaces:

  • Two assigned characteristics:
    • One characterstic is of type material dimension (e.g. material).
    • The second characteristic is of type plant dimension (e.g. store) or plant group dimension (e.g. region).
  • One assigned characteristic and one assigned break-down:
    • Characteristic is of type material dimension and break-down is of type plant dimension.
    • Characteristic is of type plant dimension or plant group dimension and break-down is of type material dimension (this break-down can, for example, lead from the base material group to the materials).
  • Two assigned break-downs:
    • One break-down is of type material dimension.
    • The other break-down is of type plant dimension.
