Use

If this switch is set, the planning layout is, in principle, set up for characteristics planning. The switch is only effective if article or characteristics planning has been activated at planning scenario level and the cross-scenario switch for deactivating article or material planning is not set.

It is however possible that even when the switch is set correctly, characteristic planning cannot take place at all or only takes place in a limited form within a planning layout. This is the case particularly if:

• the planning layout has the wrong structure, that is, if there are no simple lead columns with the value of the classification system characteristic (no characteristic planning functions) or
• no article has been specified in the planning layout (limited functionality only).
