Definition
The anchor structure is a DDIC structure containing the fields under which a master data hierarchy is hung within a planning hierarchy.
Example: The planning hierarchy consists of the fields VKORG, VTWEG, CDT1, CDT2, CDT3, CDT4, CDT5, CDT6, CDT7 and MATNR. Characteristics CDT1 to CDT7 and MATNR represent a master data hierarchy, the customer decision tree. The customer decision tree must be hung below the fields VKORG and VTWEG in the planning hierarchy. The anchor structure in this case consists ot the fields VKORG and VTWEG.
