Definition

When promotions are created, plants are grouped to plant groups contained in the classification system. If you do not do your planning at the 'Plant group in the classification system', the system tries to create a plant group when the promotion interface is being processed. You give the plant group a name when the promotion is being created.

There are two possible scenarios:

1. If the plant group you are creating does not exist in the system, the group is created and the plants that you have in your planning are assigned.
2. If the plant group you are creating already exists in the system, the status of this indicator is taken into consideration. The promotion is not created if the indicator is not flagged. The existing plant group is used in planning if the indicator is flagged.

Note:

The system does not automatically match the existing assignments of plants to to group with the plants that you have included in your current planning session.
