Definition
Alternative historical data for the forecast. The historical value is not updated by goods issue postings, but is imported by a forecast run using a special loading program. The source for the import is usually the component SAP BW.
You enter the time periods in the material master by maintaining period indicators and, if necessary, the fiscal year variant.
The system uses the historical values and fixed time intervals to create a forecast, which is also valid for the same time buckets profile.
