Definition

You use this field to control the level at which the system determines the receiving plants.

You have the following options:

Some of the possible checks (depending on the method selected) cannot be carried out for every one of the selected levels.

  • Determination at plant level is advisable when the quantity of the receiving plants is the same for all the materials in the issuing plant that are relevant to the forecast scenario.
  • Determination at material group level is advisable when the quantity of the receiving plants is the same for all materials in the issuing plant that are relevant to the forecast scenario within a material group.
  • Determination at material level is advisable when the quantity of the receiving plants can be different for all materials in the issuing plant that are relevant to the forecast scenario.

The more specific the level selected for determination, the more performance-intensive and time-consuming the determination, and the greater the need for memory space. You should therefore select the most general level possible.
