Definition
For alternative historical data (AHD) / post distribution forecasting (PDF), there are scenarios in which the delivery relationship of distribution centers and stores can be a necessary prerequisite for loading data. An example would be POS data from the stores, which forms the basis for the forecast for the receiving distribution center. In the case of POS data, the receiving distribution center is generally not known.
However, there are also scenarios in which determination of the delivery relationship can be avoided. An example would be the forecast in the distribution center based on stock transport orders, as in this case, the receiving distribution center is contained in the order document.
