An additional field for an external application that is used to uniquely identify external wage components that are transferred to SAP Payroll.
Use
It is possible for several external wage components to have the same combination of origin, personnel number, and validity date. Therefore, you can use the reference number to uniquely identify different external wage components.
You are advised not to use special characters for reference numbers.
