Definition

Material with which logistics functions such as storage, ordering, delivery etc. can be carried out for a product catalog.

This is assigned at catalog variant level, as the variants of a catalog (different language and currency combinations) are treated differently in terms of logistics. For example, in the case of printed catalogs, you must decide whether copies are to be ordered for Germany or France.

Dependencies

It is not necessary to enter a material for a site for the Internet applications "Product catalog" and "Online store."

Only those materials whose material type has indicator '3' (material type for catalog variant material) can be used as materials for catalog variants (see Customizing for material types).
