Definition
Number of the external number range that is used for the assignment of numbers for product catalog layouts at ALE inbound.
Use
Here, a separate external layout number range can be entered for every original system (network system in which the product catalog was created and from which catalogs are to be received via ALE).
Maintenance
It may be necessary to create these number ranges, or adjust the limits of the number ranges, in both the sending and receiving system before entries are made and catalogs are distributed via ALE.
Make any necessary Customizing settings if you have the required authorization.
Contact your system administrator if you cannot make the settings yourself.
The required settings are made in Customizing under Logistics General > Logistics Basic Data: Product Catalog > Assignment of number ranges to layout in ALE inbound.
If the limits for the internal number range for product catalog maintenance are changed, the numbers of catalogs that have already been created may then be outside the new number range. However, there is a program you can use to convert these layouts to the new number range.
