Definition
Group of application servers used for parallel processing.
Use
You can create parallel processing server groups in transaction RZ12.
Parallel processing can be used even if you do not specify an application server. This is because the program text contains the entry DESTINATION IN GROUP DEFAULT, which enables function modules (asynchronous call) to be run in parallel on all application servers that are available for ERP systems.
Notes
Data created for a specific application server in transaction RZ12 are valid for the relevant server group and throughout the system (meaning that the application server is valid for other server groups in which the application server is used).
