Maximum time that a program waits for all packets to be prepared (technical parameter).
Use
If you decide to define the time that your system should wait, take the following information into consideration:
- Ensure that the time is long enough for the desired amount of data to be processed - ensure that the time is not too short.
- Ensure that the time is not too long so that your system does not spend excess amounts of time waiting for packets that contain errors.
The relevant application will trigger subsequent action if certain packets are still 'open' even after the time period you defined has been exceeded.
