Definition

Indicator for dynamic expanding and collapsing of the product group hierarchy on the overview screen (template 3310).

Use

If you select this indicator, you can click on the node symbols to expand and collapse the lower levels of the hierarchy.

Dependencies

As this functionality requires a DHTML-compatible browser, whether the indicator has any effect depends on the end user's Internet browser. An expandable product group hierarchy is therefore only available for Internet Explorer / Netscape Navigator of Version 4.0 or higher. For all other browsers, the product group hierarchy is displayed statically (and fully expanded). In DHTML-compatible browsers, cookies must be accepted in order for the tree to be displayed as dynamically expandable (otherwise an error message is displayed in the browser).

Notes

The volume of data sent to the browser increases by up to 5 KB compared to a product group hierarchy that is permanently expanded (statically displayed).
