Documentation
Definition
Indicates that payment type "Credit card with SET" is to be supported.
Comment: SET stands for Secure Electronic Transaction.
SET is based on a safe encryption technology for payments over the Internet.
Three parties (card owner, online store operator, and clearing house) are involved in SET. These parties are certified by an independent Certification Authority. As a result, SET covers all security issues such as authenticity, integrety, non-contestability, and confidentiality.
In technical terms, SET is integrated in the IAC Online Store by setting this flag. The actual SET log is accessed from external software, which exchanges data with the R/3 system via a RFC interface.
Comment re. settlement: For settlement accounting to be performed in a SET process, the "Transfer address data" flag must be set for the settlement run (FCC1).
