Documentation
Definition
Indicates that additional documents, that is, not those already displayed as small images (thumbnail), or sound files in the lists, are to be sent to the Internet Transaction Server (ITS) in lists. The display of thumbnails, and sound files is not affected by the value of this indicator.
Use
The following templates contain the lists affected by the indicator:
SAPMWWMJ_2200.HTML List of shops for an online store
SAPMWWMJ_3330.HTML List of shops for an online store
(next to search screen)
SAPMWWMJ_3420.HTML List of products for a layout area
SAPMWWMJ_3430.HTML List of components for a sales set
(catalog)
SAPMWWMJ_4260.HTML List of components of a sales set
(shopping basket)
Effect
The type of HTML business template determines whether the additional documents are actually displayed in the browser. In the templates of the standard system, they are only displayed in the details screens, not for lists. However, it is possible to change the template so that these additional documents are displayed in the list. The names of the fields sent to the ITS are created according to the following convention (as they also are in the details screen):
- The prefix "A<Layout area number>I<layout area item number>_DOC_" is added to the field.
- The document partial data is transferred to several fields the names of which are constructed using the above-mentioned prefix and the following suffixes:
- APPL: Workstation application (which is used to identify e.g. thumbnails, large images or sound files in the Online Store)
- PATH: Path with which the document is accessed, in relation to the web server
- NAME: Name of the document file WITHOUT extension
- TYPE: Extension of the document file (e.g. GIF, JPE, DOC, ...)
- DISP: Indicates that the document file is to be displayed by HTML IMG tag
- DESC: Short text describing the document
An example of how the information contained in these fields can be used to display additional documents is provided in the templates with detail views of the standard system.
Note
If the templates contain both a details screen and a list (this applies to template numbers 3420, 3430 and 4260), this indicator only controls the display of additional documents in the list. The display of documents in the details screen is not affected.
Further notes
If several documents are assigned to a layout area or product in the product catalog, the sequence of document assignments is not defined. As a result, the sequence in which the documents are displayed in the online store is not defined either. Only the first workstation application entered under Determine pictures and sound files for web server is highlighted (as thumbnail, large image or sound file). By assigning the relevant workstation application to only one of the documents, it is possible to control which document is highlighted.
