Procedure
Enter the date on which the customer wishes to cancel the contract.
Use
The system uses this date in combination with the valid cancellation rules to determine whether the customer cancellation request is acceptable.
Example
A contract for the hire of a photocopier can be cancelled at the end of year if three months notice is given. In September, the customer writes to cancel the contract at the end of Nobvember. Although the customer has given sufficient notice, their request cannot be granted because the requested cancellation date differs from the cancellation date which has been defined in the contract.
